Budget Protesters Arrested at Capitol

17 activists were arrested by Capitol Police on Tuesday for disorderly conduct when they refused to move a protest that was blocking entrances and hallways in the building.
According to a press release from New York Stimulus Alliance, over a hundred grass roots activists came to capitol to protest Governor Andrew Cuomo's proposed budget, which they said favors corporate interests and unfairly cuts needed areas.

The protesters included members from CAAAV, Community Voices Heard, FUREE, Picture the Homeless, Queers for Economic Justice and VOCAL-NY.
